Meet the Family

TG Cattle Company is a family operation built by hand, run with purpose, and grounded in a love of the land that goes back generations.

Brian and Katie are both Omaha, Nebraska natives, Cornhusker country, where cattle aren't a concept, they're a way of life. After high school, their paths diverged: Katie headed west for college in Southern California, and Brian went to work on ranches and cattle operations across the Midwest, building nearly three decades of hands-on experience with livestock. They reconnected after almost twenty years apart, and Katie did what any good cattleman's wife would do, she convinced him to bring the operation west.

Brian relocated to Southern California in 2022 and launched his western horse training and cattle sorting business, Thornton Quarter Horses, in Orange County the following year, operating out of a private ranch in the Silverado Canyon area. He is the credentialed cattleman behind TG Cattle Company the one who knows these animals, reads the land, and holds the iron. Katie brings the business side: a career in accounting and financial consulting that means the operation is run with the same discipline we apply to the ranch itself.

Their son Kellen, 15, rounds out the crew. When he's not playing baseball for Huntington Beach High School, you'll find him at the ranch.

The TG brand is registered in the State of California. It stands for this family, this operation, and the standard we hold ourselves to every time we deliver beef to your door.

  • We're not just selling beef. We're investing in the place we call home.

  • TGCC & HBHS

This fall, TG Cattle Company is proud to partner with Huntington Beach High School donating TG Burgers to the concession stand during select home baseball games and serving as a featured vendor at this year's Alumni Baseball Game.

It's simple: great beef deserves a great crowd, and there's no better crowd than the Oilers baseball fans catching an afternoon game in HB. We're thrilled to support the Oilers and give the community a taste of what ranch-direct beef is all about!

  • Closing the Loop — Our Sustainability Partnerships

At TG Cattle Company, we believe the best ranching is circular. Our cattle eat well so your beef tastes better and we've built a growing network of local partnerships to make that happen the right way.

We already partner a local artisan bakery hauling away their unsold bread to use as supplemental cattle feed. What would otherwise go to waste instead nourishes our animals a small but meaningful loop that keeps good food in the system and out of the landfill.

We're actively expanding those partnerships. Local grocers, breweries, and food producers with surplus product we want to hear from you. Whether it's spent grain, day-old bread, or produce trim, we'll put it to work on the ranch. You get a genuine, tangible sustainability story to bring back to your customers. No greenwashing. Just two local businesses doing right by the community and the land.
